GSENT (GUNADARMA SHARIA ECONOMIC EVENT) 2017

Islam is a mercy to the universe. His teaching encompasses all aspects of life that lead us to the happiness of life in this world and the hereafter. One of them is the economic aspect, which has been long enough Indonesian Muslims want sharia-based economic system to be applied in all aspects as a guide for business life and transactions of people. Broad-based economies will be better off by using the right framework or reference norms. As Islam we believe to be the only religion that comes from the Creator, so does the Islamic economy. So, to be able to play an active role in the effort to achieve these expectations, Sharia Economic Forum (SEF) held a grand event that is Gunadarma Sharia Economic Event 2017 as a forum for students who have an interest in Islamic economics to improve intellectuality and ability in the process of achieving common goals for earthing Sharia economy in Indonesia.
Indonesia is one of several countries incorporated in the Organization of Islam Conference (OIC), an organization that aims to form unity in Islamic countries, cooperation in the fields of economy, politics, culture, and science. However, the fact that is happening now, countries that are members of the OIC quality is still below the world average of all aspects of life. This fact is certainly not a good news that the serious problems are still infecting the OIC countries in terms of education, living standards and health.
Therefore, through the event series Gunadarma Sharia Economic Event 2017 with the theme of “Preserving The Maqasid Al-Shariah through The Sustainable Development Goals Actualization”, Sharia Economic Forum (SEF) Gunadarma University is proud to present the grand event of National Islamic Economic Olympiad 2017, We are raising a hot topic in the midst of all Indonesian students concerned about the welfare of the people as well as facilitating the young generation to contribute their ideas and active contributions in managing challenges and opportunities carefully. National Islamic Economic Olympiad 2017 will carry a big theme namely: “Paving The Way of Islamic Economics and Finance: Inclusive Innovations”
The event lasted for 4 days, 5-8 April 2017, with the first series being a written test and followed by a scientific debate and ending with a case study. After that will be taken 4 finalists who will have to implement the student conference as a champion determinant.
